Very few people know what PTE is. Even I
didn’t know the meaning of it a few months ago. I happen to come across the
word in a educational magazine. For those who don’t know the meaning of it, let
me brief them. PTE stands for the Pearson Test of English Academic. It is a
computer-based academic English examination conducted for non-native English
speakers who wish to study abroad. The examination tests one individual’s
reading, writing and listening speaking skills. You will find many offline
centres as well as online institutions that are giving lessons to prepare
yourself for this examination. Look around for PTE training in Parramatta and
enrol yourself to get the best guidance, today.
I would like to share some tips with you all, that I have gathered,
through the years, for the PTE examination. Needless to say, it had helped a
lot of people in the past, and I hope it continues to do the same, in the near
future.
Tips for PTE Speaking:
The trick here is to “Be Confident”.
Confidence helps you boost up your accent, pronunciation, fluency and your
grammar. If you are confident while speaking, you are automatically raised to a
higher level than others. Start speaking with your friends and family in
English and not your native language as this might help you gain confidence for
later.
Tips for PTE Writing:
The
tip you need to remember here is developing a habit of “Proofreading”. Nothing
else can improve your score as proofreading can, because once you start
self-correcting and reading, what you have written, you will find the silly
mistakes which would have cost you losing marks getting reduced easily.
Tips for PTE Reading:
For reading, I would like to advise you
that start “Understanding”. It is highly necessary that you should understand
what you are reading as the examination focus on what have you understood and not
what or how fast can you read.
Tips for PTE Listening:
For the hearing or listening test, there is
only one thing that you need to remember – “Concentrate”. You need to pay full
attention to what you hear, one second of distraction even, can cause you lose
marks, unnecessarily. Take the sample mock tests for the PTE
training in Parramatta and check your scores.
